#720 In addition to the issue of men and women getting to play by the same rules, there is the consideration of rationality and future time orientation by the players. Given the enormous rate of frivolous divorces by women, and the huge numbers of women who regret doing so later, “playing” the game of life/love/marriage with a woman, in this casino, is like, scratch that, is exactly the same thing as trying to play cards with a nutcase who makes many irrational bets but has an enormous pile of chips the house has given him, as a protected player. Anytime he wants to he justs bets a lot more than you can, in order to wipe you out. The rational choice is not to play him.

In other words, you’re asking if him breeding was a mistake or not?

ADBG: “Guys do not need to be admonished to court. They need attraction traits. Once they get that, they might not ever court a girl, because there’s a LOT less incentive to do so. Never-married rates are piling up: there’s always going to be single girls out there looking to hook up with a guy, and if you have attraction traits in spades, you don’t need to do a lot to get that.”

I agree. Really enjoyed your anecdotes, ADBG. :P
My husband never ‘courted’ me, per se. We were considerate of each other. If he were inconsiderate I wouldn’t have been interested but actions of courting…no.
