So man responds to disrespectful Wife with Beta behavior: trying to make her life better. She is sooooo stressed, I need to make her dinner, and clean out the kitchen, and just talk out our feelings. I need to RESPECT her, as a person. I will be HUSBAND OF THE YEARRRRR!!!!!

My wife is getting catty: I better up my dread game, insert some drama, and wake her up at 3 AM for on-demand sex.
Do you see how GAMER’s response is 100% different from most men? Do you see how your HUSBAND’s response is 100% different from most men? Do you see how your WORDS will be interpreted by MOST MEN? Do you see how, after DECADES of your WORDS, most men will see Gamer and your Husband as monsters worse than Hitler, and will invoke the entire state appartus to crush them if their wives EVER ask for it?

A man who “lives in the present” is one unplanned outcome away from catastrophe. And I wouldn’t call it “confidence” as much as the bliss of ignorance. Further I have a very difficult time respecting and/or trusting men that have this mindset. Truth be told, although I expect that general outlook from women, I don’t particularly like it from them any better. I’m pleased that at least when it comes to planning (financial, vacation, home project, etc.) my wife is capable of putting real thought into future state. Where that falls to the wayside is anytime strong emotion gets involved. Very happy/very sad/very angry/etc and that future orientation of hers disappears. :-p
