“I never got the community’s obsession with getting difficult chicks. Coz that rocker/hippie chick looks the SAME naked as that pornstar-dressed chick in a fancy club. If it was all about getting laid, then PUA would be telling guys to go pickup chicks in rock clubs, hippie clubs, jazz clubs etc – where the chicks are much much easier to pick up… They just don’t have perfect pornstar clothing or make up. This is very true, not to mention the more average dressed chicks may have better sex skills.
On a side note, i’m sure a lot of guys who come from smaller towns do not have the luxury of going to a variety of clubs/bars. Sometimes people forget that a lot of guys trying to improve their success with women live in areas with a small selection of places to pick women up at. At the moment i don’t have the luxury of moving to a city.

The “bad boys” and “jerks” talk is closely linked to the alpha male myth. There is the same reasoning behind it. Also the same arguments show how absurd these ideas are. Does being “bad” really make you sexier? How bad? There should be some studies revealing that criminals are more successful with women than other men of similar physical attractiveness rating and financial status. This is something like an urban legend.

One of the biggest mistakes of the seduction community is that they confuse popularity, social status, sense of humor, all that qualities that many of us would sum up as “being cool”, with sexual attractiveness. They reason that if a woman admires status or attitude of a given man, she must also feel sexual attraction. There is no rational connection between these two! Pop culture also sustains such absurd beliefs – you probably heard in movies that line when the guy says “If I only could make her laugh.” Then what? She would be yours?

For man men who naturally are dating many women, they have an incredibly thick skin and little care of what people think of them so they approach women without regard and without worry of rejection. These same men are likely much of the time, to do the same thing with many of societies rules. Thus, your belief of persistence, and numbers game would give the appearance of a guy who is successful with women. And thus the myth is born.
